Overview
The Drone Detection Radars is a high-resolution surveillance
system designed to counter the growing threat posed by
unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It addresses critical
security and defense requirements, particularly in unregulated
border surveillance and critical infrastructure protection.
Developed by RADDEF, this fully indigenous radar is based on
advanced FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave)
technology. Engineered for high reliability, it performs
consistently under severe weather conditions and provides
early warning of approaching drones from all directions.
How the Drone Detection Radars Works
The radar employs FMCW technology combined with advanced
signal processing to continuously monitor airspace and detect
low-RCS aerial targets such as drones. Its rotational
architecture ensures full 360° coverage, enabling persistent
and reliable surveillance in all directions.
With wide elevation coverage, the system provides early
detection and tracking of drones approaching from varying
altitudes, supporting timely response and threat mitigation.
The system delivers mission-critical capabilities for modern
security operations
